Powder Springs Day 2003
Music, fireworks marks day-long party
The annual Powder Springs Day celebration will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15, sponsored by the Powder Springs Kiwanis. The day-long activities start at 8 a.m. with a 5k roadrace, |

| followed by the traditional parade down Marietta Street to Powder Springs Park at 10 a.m.
There is no charge for parade entries, but sign-up is required. Contact Roger Dye at (770) 943-0765.
The day’s activities continue in Powder Springs Park with arts and crafts and live entertainment, including a karaoke band, cloggers and several musical groups.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the city will present a concert on the Old Town Square, featuring oldies band Soul Support. At 9:30 p.m. fireworks will light up the sky as a continuation of the city’s rain-shortened Independence Day fireworks show. For more information call (770) 943-1666. |
